I am imagining an elevator rescue and Nico captain (obviously) of the squad comes to her rescue. Like full on abseiling down the elevator shaft and opening the top of the elevator.

Then as a thank you she does bring cookies to the station, home made of course and then once she leaves all the guys tease him endlessly about the blush that crept up his cheeks the second she thanked him and handed him the cookies. And they call her a ‘firefly’ like “she just likes you ‘cause you saved her” yada yada you know the drill. The banter that would happen her would be A+

also the team teasing nico about how obviously flustered and nervous he gets around her, even during the first meeting. like jack is going back to the station cackling like, “I’ve never seen him stutter talking to a civilian before!”

but after the cookies, nico kinda expects that that’s the last he will ever see of her. and he gets ribbed for WEEKS about how he never asked for her number or anything

but I kinda love the idea that they keep having these by chance meetings? like there’s some talk at her work by the local firefighters and nico is one of them? or she’s helping a friend who’s cat is stuck in a tree and nico is the one who ends up responding? or even outside of work, they end up bumping into each other when they are both out at a bar for some work night out?

okay but what are we thinking their first meeting is like? reader’s cat stuck in the tree? she’s locked out her house and needs someone to break the locks to get in because they can’t get ahold of a locksmith? she’s stuck in an elevator and he’s the one that pries the doors open to help her?

She’s just a puddle of goo once she sees his muscles flex and as soon as he throws her on the bed and holds her down she’s a babbling mess.

Also when there’s like some official ceremony and they all have to wear their formal wear 🫠 I looove a man in a uniform

just imagine him being endearingly fussy about it too? like they are going to some charity gala or something and he keeps tugging on his collar or messing around with his tie. and reader finds it so funny because this is the same man who will wear heavy gear for work, but can't handle wearing a suit for a night??

Oh yes they tease him about having no game and he tries to threaten them with drills or kitchen duty but they all know he won’t follow through with that.

Jack is just so smug about the whole situation, I love that.

Yess I love that! They just keep running into each other everywhere and Jack is going crazy about the fact that Nico isn’t making a move. Like his hands are itching he NEEDS something to happen and if Nico won’t do anything about his humongous crush then Jack will just take matters into his own hands. Like after a while those meetings aren’t ‘by chance’ anymore. 😏

Bonus: imagine him taking off that helmet and the hair 🫠 and I just KNOW turnout gear would make him look so fucking hot.

PLEAAAAASE!! jack and the others are so over it and just start to handle it themselves😭could fully see them faking a call at the end of nico's shift but when they get there, jack is shoving a bag into his hands like, "here's a new outfit. go to the bathroom and change. she is waiting at the table already. have a fun date"

but also once they are dating??? just imagine reader popping by to have lunch or drop off something nico forgot and he is just there in a tank with his arms out and mmmmmm😵‍💫so so hot
