lol. good jancy is what we call nancy and jason. it started mostly just with talking about the parallels between their characters (and us getting annoyed about the way most people treat jason lol), and then it started getting pretty fun to imagine their failrelationship lmao

He's like catnip for nerds forcibly adopting him he walks in a room and all the weirdos go "oh. That's Our Guy" and proceed to never leave him alone. Love that.

Comments: So delightfully cute! Both the children and the oblivious almost-couple. The Amanda POV is highly effective - very enjoyable to read. So much fun!

Sonny is probably in full embarrassment melt down mode, a rare enough occurrence now to be distressing, Barba is still staring at the tv like it betrayed him and obviously trying to figure out how to deny that he looks at Sonny like he never wants to look away without sounding defensive.

“Okay! But, you are in love. It’s really obvious! You’re always happy when you’re ‘round each other, sitting close, and you talk about each other a lot when one of you isn’t here, and you always smile at each other, like the tv man said! And that’s love! So why aren’t you gonna marry Uncle Rafa? Don’t you love him, Uncle Sonny?”

i’ve literally done nothing with this au since i wrote the notes down, so it’s fun to actually get into it a bit more

“Hi,” Dustin grins up at the woman that answers the door. She has Steve’s eyes, and there’s something about her absent, confused gaze that’s familiar. “I’m here to see Steve.”

KingSteve is Online was supposed to be a quick sequel to a ficlet I made ages ago, of an AU where Stranger Things was set in an ambiguously late 90s/ early 00s setting. Purely so I could make them IM using absolutely horrific chatspeak. And to make them chat even more - Steve has gone off to college with Robin, and Eddie is still stuck back in Hawkins. Feeling a little lost, and like everyone has moved on without him.

It feels like it could be a super long fic, and that's intimidating, so this wip has mostly fallen to the background. Whoops.

My previous snips for Dustin is a Bully are here, here, and here. Not sure what else I can add for this one, other than I like writing Steve standing up for himself. He's not a pushover, and Dustin being a real cunt isn't going to turn him into a doormat.

Eddie sits, and breathes, and watches as Steve’s messages ping through. And when they do — Eddie lets himself sit in it for a moment. Let the words wash over him, let the pixels of the screen burn their way into his retinas.

That actually sounds sort of nice. Going to a school where everyone isn’t scared of you, or hates you, or both. Surrounded by people who actually want to be there. Maybe he’s romanticising it, he doesn’t know what it’s actually like. He probably never will. Hell, who is Eddie kidding, he’ll never know what college is like. He’s not cut out for it.

Dustin is a Bully

It’s not like Dustin’s been saying anything that’s untrue. Steve told him about his grades in high school, how essays and such ‘weren’t his thing’. He doesn’t know even the most basic scientific principles — shit him and The Party have been talking about since middle school. Steve graduated high school yeah, but he didn’t get into college. Obviously, since he’s still in Hawkins.

“Plus it’s not like you can’t take it,” Dustin adds, scowling. Steve’s older, he’s tough, he can handle a few harsh truths.

“Yeah, but I shouldn’t have to, Dustin,” Steve adds, leaning forward on the recliner, steely gaze settling into something angrier. More intense. “I thought you were my friend.”

This is where I admit I started this wip in April, wrote 600 words, and promptly forgot it existed. So thank you! I've finally made a little more progress.

He was agreeing to model for him. He was agreeing to nude model for him. It was Eddie who had bought it up — shy, and bashful, the remnants of his confident freak persona left behind. He didn’t need to put on the act with Steve. He could just be himself. He could shyly admit he had an idea for something they can do together. And Steve, of course, had agreed. Steve, who loved dates. Loved planning them, loved going on them, loved any excuse to hang out with Eddie. Get to know each other a little better. Loved going to the drive in, and minigolf, and learning how to cook dinner together. Eddie was happy to let Steve take charge, guide him through the world of dating, and the world of having a boyfriend. But he wanted to do something for Steve in return. Wanted to woo him. Wanted to make him feel as loved and cherished as Steve makes him feel. So Eddie offered to sketch him. Artists have been using their lovers as their models for as long as art has existed, and Eddie wanted to carry on the tradition. Wanted to explore the world of intimacy with Steve. Wanted to explore his body with his pencil, with his loving gaze — and not just roaming hands, and fierce kisses.
