There are opinions that most people just never need to have. Like, until yesterday I didn't realize that certain designs of shopping carts are of the devil and I hate them. They don't fit the corrals, they don't fit each other, they steer like drunken jello when put into a lineup, and someone figured out how to jam one into the bigger ones so hard we couldn't get them apart. If I quit this job it's going to be over shopping carts, the work itself is fine.
I figure every job has some obscure-but-relevant opinions like there. Anyone care to share?
My company is terrible at training, but decent at showing you how to do something when directly asked and very good at explicitly praising you for doing things well. So I guess that's a net gain?
little update after applying to 105 jobs in the span of 4-6 weeks i FINALLY got a job!!!! tbh i think i got the job because it was through a phone interview rather than in person… a blessing in disguise I FEAR. But anyways… im just waiting for my references & my bg check to clear and I SHALL BE GOOD 👍🏼. Let’s hope I can slay at my job…. and also get through CPR training and stuff.

Earlier this week I had a camper get really rigid about which swing he wanted to use. It was very close to another kid's swing, so she moved away.
Me to my student: "What do you say?"
My student: "Thank you"
Other counselor to her student: "What do you say? You're..."
