This is how I imagined the final show to look. An interactive installation, which would have consisted of 6 pieces (roughly) with the same format at shown here. Each would have had its own headphones/story accompanying it. The wood prints hopefully look like they are HUGE in the ‘room’ space. I wanted the sense that they tower over everything.

A reminder that the cuts on the wood were to depict the age the person was when they received the object and the other the age the giver died, in this case 22 and 80...unfortunately I ran out of blades for the saw so couldn’t do any more cuts!!!

Each photograph in this triptych titled You Never Know, was shot in Central London. A result of living in the city, is unwillingly becoming a part of the rush of everyday life. This triptych Is inviting you to take the time to think more.  

The main subject in the series have been removed, intentionally to express a greater concept to the public. The photographs are intended to express themes of; familiarity as the subjects are identifiable. Isolation by focusing on a specific subject. And the possibility of loss by removing the actual subject. Based on the current situation we are in; it is clear we have reached a time where we do not know what to expect next. You Never Know, intends to bring the audience to reflect on things that they may have taken for granted or simply not acknowledged enough. Leaving an empty space allows for the viewers to complete the image with their idea of future possibilities. Many things change around us every day, and many things do not. What is it that you choose to acknowledge? What else could change?
