the  illusionist’s  tone  is  more  serious  than  mellow  as  he  asks,  ❝  you  like  space.  do  you  know  anything  about  constellations?  ❞  charting  the  stars,  aligning  the  planets  ...  whatever  harrison’s  reason  is  for  wanting  to  know  something  about  astronomy,  it’s  probably  best  if  no  one  questions  it.

max  feels  like  david  should’ve  thought  twice  before  passing  out  kazoos.  this  is  utter  chaos  —  he’s  not  exactly  sure  what  they  were  supposed  to  be  doing,  but  everyone  seems  to  be  on  a  different  page,  &  the  counselors  are  frantically  trying  to  get  them  to  calm  down  &  be  quiet.  (  between  the  cacophony  of  noise  from  the  simple  instruments  themselves,  &  the  slew  of  kazoo  kid  references,  this  is  a  challenging  task.  )  he’s  by  himself,  but  when  space  kid  speaks,  max’s  head  turns  quickly  in  that  direction.  the  boy  is  silent  for  a  moment,  expression  irritated  …  then  he  takes  his  own  kazoo  to  his  lips  &  makes  a  loud  noise  in  the  other  boy’s  direction.  ❝  kazoo,  ❞  he  replies  solemnly.  they’re  kazoo  brothers  now.
