3/5 of the Final Designs
These are the final three out of a total of five posters i have produced for my piece in the exhibition. They took me 5 days in total to complete these 3 with an extra day for tweaking parts i wasn’t happy with. I am pleased with them and i think although they are very different in terms of composition and colour schemes they work well alongside each other. I feel like because there is black in a number of the posters it brings them all together. I think if i were to have more time to work on them i would have put more detail onto the silhouettes in the first image, would have added another element to the middle poster and would have addd more detail to the buildings in the third. Although I have not yet added the text and once I have done this I may not feel the need to add more detail to the posters.
BRINGING BACK TEXTURE
Although i feel that my first suggestion of final design are fitting to the brief and respond directly from my research and development, i feel that i have lost the request for creating “home spa environment”. My first set of design are fun and meet the colour and theory requirements of the brief however i feel i could tone down the shapes and form a conclusion that displays more of a ‘feel’ for what the competition is looking for. I need to go back to considering texture and remind myself of the demand for calming colours.
FINAL MAIN LOGO
Developed overtime, my final logo idea is a clear and bold design. Including contrasting colours which stand out amongst the black and white based photography of Horst.
