Yamato walked down the street  with his head bowed. He was making his way home from practice and just wanted to get back as soon as he could. His hands clutched the straps of his bass tightly. It was getting colder now and he was starting to imagine a hot chocolate in front of him. 

     ”A-Ah, um— I-I’m sorry—”

——-‹❀› Staring at the glass doors in front of her, she sucked in a breath, clutching her files to her chest with both arms, and willed her legs to move her forward;

"I shouldn’t be nervous——”

a forced, uncomfortable smile graced her features, short pink hair already escaping from a hastily-tied ponytail as Sakura strode into Konoha General Hospital, practically exuding the aura of a fresh intern;

"——after all, Senju Tsunade personally recruited me to train under her!”

This thought did little to calm her, and the girl’s old anxiety began to well up within her in a dreadful pool of nausea and shivering. Past fears returned with a malice, and as usual, Sakura felt doubt creeping under her skin——what about her was so good anyway, that made Tsunade herself request that she complete her residency under her tutelage?

Thoughts swarming her head, she made her way to the almost-legendary doctor’s head office, barely registering the environment around her as her stressors transformed from external to internal ones. Everything around her was a mass of white——tiles of white, walls of white, people in white——they all blended into one mass with few splotches of color. Up ahead, she could see the shining plaque that bore Tsunade’s name:

                                                   SENJU TSUNADE

                                                   Chief of Medicine

So she quickened her pace, attempting to smother her frayed nerves——

“Almost there!”

——and then, very ungraciously, crashed head-on into something hard.

…Hard?

There wasn’t a wall or a pillar in the middle of the hall…

…it was a chest. A person’s chest.

…Oh.

Disoriented more than ever, it took her a few seconds to recover from the impact before embarrassment overcame her residual anxiety for the moment, green eyes wide and looking everywhere but the person’s face as she registered the figure before her, along with his short, clipped words;

"Watch it!"

Flustered, her arms tightened around the files she was carrying (luckily, Sakura had managed to hold on to them during the course of events) as she stammered out an apology, bowing swiftly;

"I’m really, terribly sorry!”
