Paris in the early 60s, Alberto Giacometti is surrounded by the recognition of his colleagues, the interest of his mistress and the jealousy of his wife. Pining over his income and tired of a predictable life, the artist finds peace in the company of James Lord - a critic posing for him. The planned portrait is not ready even in two weeks: the two spend a lot of time together, discussing art and work, breathing in the fresh air of the city on the Seine.

我的作品中都在呈現我的總和，一切與我有關的投射，我用內省觀看自身與記錄自身的狀態，作品同時也反映著我心中的孤獨和疑惑，對自己的天賦感到懷疑，我只知道創作是我宣洩的平台。
究竟我們人生下來的目的是什麼，還記得我小時侯，最大的樂趣就是作夢，長大的過程中，阿母總是跟我說，要好好的讀書，考上好學校，未來才會有前途，那個恐懼感一直到現在都在，誰在乎我的天賦，把書讀好才是唯一的路，長大後開始覺得茫然，不知自己要做什麼，也不知道自己有沒有所謂的天賦，電影水世界（Water World）的名句「陸地是迷思」（dry land is a myth），天賦是否也僅是迷思，極度懷疑自己到底有沒有所謂的天命，根據佛經所云，人於投胎時，皆有一個自己從天而賦予的「目的」，而這目的有三個特質:
第一、我們出生的目的是在尋找「真我」。
第二、真我即「天賦」所在，而當你發現並發揮此獨一無二的天賦時，會有超越時間感（timeless awareness）。
第三、我們需要用自己的天賦去服務其他人。
教育以及傳統的觀念，壓抑且抹煞了人的天賦，我32歲才覺醒，我不想再過這樣的生活，我決定去尋找我的天賦，村上春樹也是在29歲那年，突然起個想寫小說的念頭，才開始成為職業小說家，人生的際遇就是這麼不可預測。
