So, having studied A Substantial Number of Guilty Gear Strive character designs throughout my Mermay (where I was mermifying them), I think I've figured out how to look like a GGST character. (Note: this might or might not apply to other games in the series, I wasn't looking at them for reference and I don't know how much the character design philosophy has changed over the years.)

something written on everything you wear; not a logo, but a line of text that's a word or phrase relevant to your themes
gents: bare chest with a jacket over top, or a shirt opened up to reveal most of your chest
ladies: legs exposed, shorts or a short skirt
cross-shaped decorations
multiple belts around your waist
shirt that's either skintight or loose
