Let's talk about minorities. I am using real life experiences from my friends and I. Who are all minors. I will not use their names.
My friend is black. She has been accused of carrying a weapon many times. She plays trumpet and carries her case everywhere.
My friend is Korean. Another is Chinese. They both have been harrased about COVID. They both have been mocked for their looks. They have both been yelled at in public.
My friend is disabled. He is mocked for how he looks and talks. He is excluded and has been hurt for being 'dangorous'
But it's okay, right? Because these aren't that bad? It's okay bc it just happens sometimes? Right?
My friend has been spit on for being Asian.
My friend has been threatened and beaten for being Latina.
My friend has had her Hijab ripped off of her because she's Muslim.
I've been beaten for being queer.
Accused, assulted, beaten, humiliated. We are minors. This is commwn for people. Because we live in America.
George Floyd could not breath.
He did not have a weapon.
Nor had he said anything.
He couldn't breath.
Can you hold your breath for 7.5 minutes?
Can you be beaten?
Spit at?
Humiliated?
Framed?
Fight with us.
