Bella Luna Winery
After making the wine bottle cake I contacted Bella Luna Winery and sent them some photos. Here is how the emails have gone.
Me: Hello. My name is Amanda and I live near Houston, TX. I have a brother that is stationed in Lemoore, CA who got my dad and I hooked on Fighter Pilot Red earlier in the year when we visited him. So much so that my dad bought a whole case to bring home with us. This past weekend he was able to come home for a few days so I thought it would be nice to make him a cake since his birthday is right around the corner. I decided to challenge myself and make a Fighter Pilot Red cake. I thought Bella Luna Winery might enjoy seeing the pictures of the cake.
All the details on the cake are hand painted with food color on top of fondant. The standing bottle has a base of rice krispie treats and the bottle laying in the box is the cake, which was strawberry. The wood shavings are white chocolate. Everything is edible.
