⠀⠀⠀⠀The Blade stands idly, a freshly made cup of hot noodles in his hand as he stands amidst the damaged room, not even a trace of remorse or regret on his face. There's that ever-present, unchanging expression on their face that only ever seems to twist into something else for very specific people - one of whom was previously in the room.

"That will affect my ability to purchase cup noodles."

⠀⠀⠀⠀The tone is deadpan - if it was anyone else, you might think it was a joke, but the half-blind maybe oni seems entirely serious with such a statement.

"But I will recover perfectly fine without medical attention. Wis'adel demonstrates lackluster murderous intent compared to when you found me."

ehhhhhh --- ?!

the thin line his own lips have flattened themselves into wriggle a little before he briskly nods . he's pretty sure that was a lie ... he knows what he's seen ! ( just for a moment , that infinitely gentle , clear-eyed expression ... ) but it didn't change the fact that he felt like he was being scolded for it now !

should he have darted his eyes away ? covered his face ? was it not enough to try to hide his own awkward , dopey smile ?! of course , he still wanted to say something ... to try to comfort a fact that wasn't supposed to exist , much less have been witnessed --- and he wracks his brain until he comes up with something . ( --- er , he thinks . )

' even if you had ... would it have been bad ? ' he practically seizes up as he starts to stammer , ' n-not that i saw anything ! i didn't --- ! really ! ' a deep red flush ; a fumble at invisible locks with his hands and a sucked-in breath . timidly , meekly presenting all of his courage after another moment , he softly continues . ' i mean , a smile is usually for when good things happen , right ? so ... it should be okay . it should be okay to let the good things happen . '
