That man... there is something utterly inhuman in him. I know it, not like those freaks... they might look like robots with that armor and mannerisms but they're 100% Human but that man? Reynolds? No, there's no way in Hell he can be human... not completely. I Saw him during the fighting when he lost his helmet... I saw his eyes... No Human being could hold as much Rage and Hatred in their eyes as he did. I saw not a man but violence and war itself personified... Those hate filled eyes of his were Glowing a Bloody Maroon color for Gods sake. Let alone to mention what he DID to those Covies that tried to rush him... he literally ripped them apart barehanded like some unholy monster that clawed up from Hell itself. That look he gave me when he noticed me and that roar...even in death I shall remember that moment and the terror I felt.
CPL John Herman, 105th Marine Division to Captain Simon Sinclair, ONI Section-III; in regards to his encounter with Sergeant Lucas Reynolds during the closing stages of the Battle of New Constantinople. August 20th, 2537
