incredible news lads...I finished the first draft of my novel!!!!!!!!!!!!!
her vital statistics for those who are interested...339 pages, 97,959 words, just a shade under 10 months for this draft.
Most importantly, done two full weeks before my self enforced deadline of my birthday, so fuck yeah.
There are SO many things I need to do with it, that I want to change, tighten up, discuss with people, but there are no gaps, there is an ending, there is conflict and a twist and worldbuilding and characters I have come to love and look forward to making even more loveable but most importantly, its under 100,000 words, which means that when I DO redraft, it probably won't get that much bigger.
and now the best news....I CAN WRITE FANFICTION AGAIN!!!!!
Okay so....apparently today is not a The Art of Pretending writing day because my brain decided to derail me completely. I randomly came up with a Brocedes fic idea and now it won’t leave me alone:
It’s 2026. Lewis is having an absolutely miserable year at ferrari. Everything is wrong. Vibes are bad. Career crisis. And then one night he dreams that he’s arguing with Nico, properly arguing and Nico gets in the car and dies in an accident.
Lewis wakes up shaken, because the worst part is realizing that for years now they haven’t even really talked. Not properly. Not honestly.
Except… he wakes up in 2016. and now he has to fix things. Actually fix things. Because if he doesn’t, the future won’t change, and Nico will still die.
I was thinking this as a one-shot but let’s be real, it could easily turn into 2–3 chapters if it gets out of hand (when does it not).
Anyway. Now i’m sitting here like: Do i write this? Or do i behave and focus on my 1 main fic like a responsible adult???
