Had his mother given him away?

Ah... That did it. He felt his face get warm as tears started to flow, the young child grabbing at his hair and trying to pull it in front of his face. His brother was wrong, he was ugly, he was stupid, and no one liked him. He was just some freak show...!

Either this was going to be the most tasteless joke of the century or they were in real, deep trouble - and sadly, Orpheus was more leaning towards the latter option. Hope’s Peak wouldn’t win anything but scaring their new students in such a fashion - not to mention that they have a reputation to uphold.

With furrowed eyebrows, Orpheus witnessed the reaction’s of his fellow classmates - which were rather varied, truth be told. Some displayed fear, some others didn’t buy this whole situation one bit, some seemed to even enjoy the premise...

(Like a colorful cast of quirky characters in a book.)

(Let’s see where this adventure is going to take them, hm?)

A few minutes after the reveal, Orpheus made his way to the newly unlocked dorms. There was talk about everyone having roommates, so naturally, Orpheus was curious whom he would share a room with for an indefinite amount of time. Hopefully, it was someone he could get along with easily...

As the fantasy novelist opened the door to his room, he was surprised to see that it was none other than Nisemono who was already inside in said place. Well, that was a pleasant turn of surprise! They’d already talked before the reveal - so it was at least someone whom he was somewhat familiar with.

“It appears as if we’re going to be roommates now, Yoshida-san.”

The holidays were here, and this is Slaine’s first holiday ever, technically. His guardians didn’t care to celebrate such a thing, even if it was Christmas. And he wondered what it was like to make a Christmas Tree, to partake in festivities, or head out caroling. It was all a whole new world for him, and Talia gave him just what he dreamed of.

And because of how isolated he used to be, he didn’t think he’d be walking out today and holding the flyer to be making lanterns for the Lantern Festival. He didn’t even know where to start, and everyone was busy helping others out. Luckily, he found someone. They seemed to be further away from the rest of the crowd, but that’s alright.

Still! She wasn’t going to let her thoughts drag her down, she was here to have fun in their honor!

Naoto found herself in front of the crop maze, head tilted and contemplating giving it a try. “Generally as long as you stick to the right wall it wouldn’t take long...” she mumbles to herself; would it be fun?

Swirling the beer in his little clear cup he sighs contently. It’s so good... He’ll have to see if he can take some home for later, but for now he was just going to enjoy his drink and the crisp autumn air. The last few weeks... maybe even month have been hell, but this was slowly melting away those worries.

There were autumn colors all over, and plenty of leaves falling onto the ground. The moment Slaine looked up, he saw one straight above him, and he reflexively caught the orange leaf. It reminded him of a certain somebody—who he happened to be waiting on patiently. It wasn’t like Orange to be late on schedule, but well, Slaine wasn’t exactly looking at the clock either. When he pulled his leaf away from his line of sight, Slaine saw the exact Orange he had his mind on.

“What took you so long?” his thoughts exited his mind. It was clear he wasn’t patient as he hoped to be. Today was supposed to be a day of excitement—the one of the many days they get to do something eventful. Not that life wasn’t already eventful with him around, but it wouldn’t leave them both at home and bickering over almost anything one can think of.

Ashe-Lin was excited to attend her first Fall Festival. She dressed from head to toe with fall colors and wool to keep warm. She enjoyed the feel of the petting zoo and watched a few of the games that surrounded the festival- though she didn't want to play them alone. Unfortunately though she didn't have anyone to take with her- everyone she knew was going with someone else, or was too busy to go to the festival anyways.

She went and got some cider and some BBQ from the small food vendors and mad her way to a table. She noticed a face she has seen but hasn't met yet, which inspired her to maybe gain a new friend.
