dripping in anxiety,

swimming in self-doubt,

downing caffeine,

inhaling nicotine

and to always

exist in

spaces drenched in whiteness.

not ready,

never was ready

to articulate my yellow experiences

smeared with purple, red and gold.

consume.

consume my life

to only be whispered in the dark

to your friends about

how terrible it must be

to be a color.

dripping in anxiety,

drowning in depression -

i learned my own oppression

in a space full of non-color.

so i told myself:

Persist.

Resist.

Exist

to only travel multiple worlds with just one phone call to

mama.
