Runway Review: Fashion Forward Season 3
Season three of Dubai's Fashion Forward (FFWD) showcased some of the region’s most talented designers.
The three-day event from April 10th – 13th combined enlightening talks, inspiring fashion shows and stylish networking parties where industry folks, media and trendsetters alike gathered to mingle.
The talks featured speakers including world-renowned designers, industry influencers (such as New York Fashion Week creator Fern Mallis), photographers, bloggers (like Filipino fashion blogger Bryanboy) and Swarovski's lead trend-researcher (pictured above).
In one designated area of the Fashion Forward venue, The Garden at Madinat Jumairah Conference Center, a garment from each of the designers hosting a show stood on display throughout the three-day program. In the photos above, you can appreciate the intricate detailing in the embellishments.
As evidenced in the photo from the Asudari show, blue (all shades of it) is the trending color in MENA (Middle East/North Africa) fashion.
