She emerged from her cocoon on a night of howling wind and rain. The tempest raged, battering the earth and forest. However, as her luminescence flickered within her cradle, the storm abated, clouds parting to reveal the silvery rays of the moon. She broke through the shell encasing her vessel, and climbed out onto long, spindly limbs.
Her wings unfolded, a sprawling span wide enough to block out the sky. Her glow cast her surroundings in a haze of blue, and the world seemed to quieten, beholding in awe as a sight that has not occurred for millions of years descended upon the planet. She has neglected this world, a decision she was not proud of. However, other gods have been born and have taken residence here, and she was not a tyrant as to chase them away.
They were not an issue until their presence began to test the elasticity of Balance. Was this the natural end of an era, or was it the machinations of threat? This was the question that awoke her after an eternity of slumber. She made no effort to conceal her presence or what she was. A God of Origin had nothing to fear, and thus, she waited. She knew one of them was near.
“ Do not fear, child, for I arrive now not to blame, but to speak.” The cosmic tongue of deities left her, audible and understood only by those akin to her kind. “ Come forth now. I will hear you. ”
