Yata didn't know why but lately it seemed as if the food at the Holy Ramen Empire had gotten tons better. As if he didn't already spend most of his time there when he actually had the money to afford it but he found himself going more and more. "So what's up with that?" He relayed all of these thoughts to the owner who told him it was because of a new cook.
He had never seen him so Yata took the owner's suggestion to attend at a certain time. "Yeah, I'll have uh.." He almost listed off the usual but decided to try something different. Something that he didn't think he'd care for. After waiting for all eternity (the place was usually almost packed), Yata finally received his bowl. He'd been eyeing the black haired cook the entire time but there was only so much he could see as he prepared his ramen.
He took it and went to sit down. He broke apart his chopsticks and dug in. If it had tasted as bad as he thought it would he was going to go get a refund. Instead it was.. surprisingly good. In fact, it was even better than he remembered it. Yata stared at the bowl of ramen and then back over to the cook with such an intensity he almost cleared the room as most people thought he was going to burn the place down or something. He managed to overhear one of the employee's tell the guy- Rin - that his shift was almost over so Yata wolfed down the food and headed quickly outside.
Once outside he leaned against the wall and waited for Rin to appear. When he did Yata pushed away from the wall and stepped in front of the guy. That fierce and wild expression was still playing on his features. It almost looked like he was about to pick a fight with him.
"Yo, you Rin?" Yata's fists were hidden in his pants pockets but he carefully removed them. "I gotta know.." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He couldn't believe what he was about to say. "How the hell do you make ramen?! I've been comin' here for years and their shit is.. Well, it's okay but still! You lacin' the food with somethin'?!"
