I still can’t get my head around Ferrari choosing to very publicly go after Max when he said they were cheating WHEN THEY ALL VERY MUCH KNEW THEY 👏🏻 WERE 👏🏻 IN 👏🏻 FACT 👏🏻 CHEATING 👏🏻
Binotto and Camilleri and Vettel and Leclerc saying those things about Max... I mean, that came after the technical directive, after their drop in performance. Even if you gave the drivers the benefit of the doubt beforehand, at that point they couldn’t not have known.
Yet instead of shrugging it off and saying no comment, instead of counting their blessings for having gotten away with it for so long, instead of just saying Max was wrong and leaving it at that - they decided to go after him personally and call him unprofessional and immature and clueless and say he was damaging the sport and all the other garbage that got hurled at him.
Weren’t they embarrassed to be saying these things? Didn’t they feel even the smallest pangs of conscience? When the truth reflected back at them from their ill-gotten trophies didn’t they find themselves looking away in shame?
Idk, like, after the race in Austin, what was going through Binotto’s mind as he marched down to Red Bull to pick an extremely public fight with Christian and threaten Max with legal action for saying something Binotto knew perfectly well was the truth?
I just......... ????????
I can only think that whoever the whistleblower is, they found themselves asking the same questions. God, I really wish I could buy them a drink. Because it definitely sounds like without them, without that one honest man or woman at Ferrari who leaked the incriminating information, they really would have gotten away with it.
As a sport - and, perhaps selfishly, especially as Verstappen fans - we owe that whistleblower an enormous debt of gratitude.

ya know, this really isn't that deep. if ferrari cheated it wouldn't be the first time and they're certainly not the only team to have ever done that. if they found a loophole in the system good for them, the FIA has been informed so it probably won't be useful much, if any, longer. like, chill whatever the case it's not the end of the world.. this is just the latest bit of drama.
i’d like to thank toto wolff for speaking up against maFIA and the red devil we truly stan a king
Since we are in the discourse… yeah hope that Vasseur’s management is different.
