Lonâqu had been distracted, slowly sharpening his sword to distract his mind. However sharpening swords wasnât very exciting. His mind kept wandering to happy things, sad things, and everything in between. His hands stopped long ago and he was stuck staring at the campfire.
He was slow to respond when he heard a voice, looking up and around to find who it was.
âLibra,â he said. âYeah, Iâve been doing fine. Iâve lost some sleep though. What about you? Have you been okay?â
FLAXEN locks frame a delicate, ivory complexion ; cheeks glistening faintly from from exhausting his vocal cords with vocalizations of worship only a couple moments prior. The friar still wasnât accustomed to the subtle panging in his heart that emerged whenever he was around the myrmidon, the disquiet he felt whenever he recalled the moment the other had stepped in front of him to take a blow on his behalf. He didnât think himself necessarily worthy of being on the recipient of such a noble act. Naturally, it was his own duty to protect in the name of Naga and of his country. To have had such a blow deflected by another human being was... INCORRECT.Â
IT was perhaps the only reason he frequently sought out the other, asking him if he was well. The frequent growling of his empty stomach went ignored everytime his heart raced, every time he made queries regarding Lonâquâs health. And he was right to do so. This fatality was his responsibility, and he wouldnât cease his prayers or his habitual check-ups until he was absolutely certain he had atoned completely for such a grave inconvenience.
â Â Â Iâve been... well. Â â He wasnât completely lying, but he wouldnât trifle his dearest with his own earthly struggles.Â
Dearest? Is that what I am to refer to him as, now?Â
HIS eyes drifted towards the swordmanâs work, with each movement of his fingers as they sharpened the blade before him. Overexertion was absolutely out of the question, whether Lonâqu agreed with him or not.   â  You donât plan on exhausting yourself so soon after your injury, correct?   âÂ
