It’s not in any way professional or dignified but even the Mayor of Zootopia could reach his limit.

Hours of sleep cast aside to focus on work and managing the large city Lionheart pushed himself past exhaustion. He struggled to keep his eyes open and dozed off at the worst of times like when in the presence of Scar, who he just happens to sit next to.

There’s supposed to be listening to someone else’s speech but the words are muddled and confused to the lion’s tired brain. He quickly gives up on paying attention. Without realizing it Lionheart’s eyes fall shut and as he starts to drift he leans against Scar’s side. Before the Mayor can worry about apologizing he’s gone.

Head on the smaller lion’s shoulder and paw pressed against his mouth to stifle his snores the Mayor catches some much needed rest.

It was common knowledge to any lion that felines needed to sleep up to sixteen hours of the day. It was also common knowledge that doing so when one is the Mayor of a terribly active metropolis can easily be disastrous -- for the lion of course, never the city. This, among other things, had Scar surprisingly without sass as the weight of the golden creature fell upon him as if it were his duty to ensure the feline slept as soundly as possible. 

Even so, Scar could hardly suppress the wry twist of his features that were so common whenever the lion’s thoughts were rumbling about. 

What a surprise, Scar lilted within his mind. Seeing such flaws within a ruling body. Braveheart is right. To show such vulnerability at a time like this...the lion clucked his tongue patronizingly against his teeth. 

And yet...some part of the other’s behavior was (to just a small part of himself, Scar countered) quite endearing. It had been some time since the warmth of another’s fur crossed pelts with his own, and as much as Scar loved being cantankerous and alone...it was nice. 

Scar lifted a paw and rested it just below the other lion’s half-moon of an ear.

Among those few that the scientist had befriended along his journey, it was no secret that Stanford Pines was anything but an easy sleeper. There were nights when the man couldn’t fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning, and there were nights he didn’t rest at all. It’d been a bad habit of his that he’d developed in college and had only gotten worse with the years. There were a few things that helped, though. Exhausting himself during the day usually lead to a few hours of rest, but if he found himself near someone he trusted, he could sleep through most of the night. 

It just wasn’t often that Stanford would sleep in an actual bed.

We’re getting there, you guys. Thank you for being so patient with me in making these, I imagine the dashboard isn’t looking so fun with all these cluttering them. I’m lucky we’ve gotten to interact, otherwise you’d be listed under the other blogs that I love but never interacted with.

@ferociouspride High-key I love your Lionheart and we crush over him a little. Like he’s an angry handsome ball of fur and we think he’s super awesome. Pleeease interact with us more, cause we think you’re cool stuff.

48. How are your character’s gestures? Vigorous? Weak? Controlled? Compulsive? Energetic? Sluggish?

Mayor Canidae changes her gestures depending on whom she is with. Brute force is not her weapon of choice, especially given the ostensibly civilized nature of Zootopia and her rather unathletic frame. With those from whom she wants something, she is very graceful, controlled. She will speak with whatever body language she has to in order to put her conversational opponent off guard, draw them in, or persuade them.

With those she already knows she has power over, she is forceful, broad, and bombastic - closer to her true personality, or is that all just an act as well?
