Writeblr Spotlight #11
next, we have the stupendous
@fernyquotes !
foy (is that how they go by?) writes all kinds of genres in the YA category, from fantasy to mystery to romance to drama, and they have four whole WIPs! four! can you believe that? they’re mostly focusing on two, at the moment, though.
September Magic is their main WIP: an lgbtq+ diverse urban fantasy story about witches, ghosts, spells, and more! set in toronto during the fall, (which is a lovely sight in toronto. i adore the autumn) this story is about four witches and how they resurrected a dead raccoon, had tea with a British flamingo named Sir Alistair, but most importantly, how they saved the world.
join Lizzy Bahar, a young woman working at her family’s grocer, Andrea Abelman, the witch who loves indie music, Lewis Park, the optimistic witch who can make anyone laugh, Patricia Khatri, the introverted and beautiful witch, and Olivia Alfonsi, the bubbly witch who’s a hopeless romantic, as they work out their September magic.
The Medusas takes a darker turn, with a beautifully symbolic title. this lgbtq+ mystery romance story features The Medusas, an organization that originated from a group of women; survivors of abuse, rape, and discrimination. this group grew into a modern company, hiding under the guise of Peacelily Cosmetics. but there’s a problem.
join El, the youngest Medusa alive, as she tracks down the serial killer that’s been murdering the Medusas. but she quickly finds out that the truth is something no one would have expected.
foy also creates lovely moodboards! they’re actually some of the best i’ve ever seen, and i just adore the one they made for me :)

Ferny!!!
I know you’re relatively new to the community, but you’ve done such a fantastic job establishing yourself in the community, and I adore seeing you around! Not only are you the absolute sweetest, I also really love your writing! All of your titles and tiny little synopses are so adorable and at times striking. I can’t wait to get to know you and your writing a whole lot better!!!
