Ferdinand (FE3H)

E (experience): Ferdinand has fully internalized all of the trappings of his noble upbringing, and as such, plans to save sex for his eventual spouse. In fact, his (shy, stuttering, very blushy) confession that he desires you can basically be taken to mean that he hopes to wed you some day. You can expect that you'll be his first sexual partner, and beyond what he's briefly peaked at in risque novels, he's going to need you to guide him a bit. Fortunately, Ferdie is eager to please and takes instruction very well. He's especially receptive to praise- if you tell him something feels good, he'll memorize how to do it and keep at it until you're trembling and letting out those beautiful moans just for him. A true noble would never leave his lover wanting, after all!

H (hair): he doesn't have very much body hair to begin with, and what he does have is a light enough color that, at a distance, it more or less blends into his skin tone. He naturally has a subtle but somewhat inconsistent patch down there, but once he starts considering the prospect of a sexual relationship, he'll go to any lengths to groom himself to your preferences. Ferdinand looks wonderful with everything freshly shaved, in fact- his skin is naturally very smooth and clear, and with his equestrian's physique and flowing hair, he looks like an illustration from the sort of romance novels they don't allow at the monastery.

Ferdinand:

"We are on our period".

You need to hold his hand and ask him, softly but firmly, never to say that again.

But really, your pain is his pain.

Knocking on your door every 10 minutes to ask if you need something else.

No matter how light or heavy your cramps are, he will assume they're 100x worse.

Makes sure to keep your room clean and tidy so you won't have to do any efforts.

Brings you flowers and chocolates to make you feel better.

Perpetual worried frown. You need to reassure him that you're gonna be okay.

Brews you some tea that might help relieve cramps a lil bit.

Stays by your bedside and softly sings to you until you fall asleep.

Sylvain:

Will try to make you laugh so you forget about the pain.

Really, he will exhaust every resource at his disposal to distract you.

Board games, fun stories, charades.

You will have a great time, no question about that.

But if the cramps get too bad, you might have to break his heart and tell him you need some quiet.

He will act hurt, but really appreciates the extra chance to cuddle. In just a few minutes he will be happily asleep by your side.

The game reveals next to no information about Ferdinand’s mother, which is strange considering the relevance of his father and uncle. Therefore, I have complied headcanons potentially explaining why he never talks about her.

- Mrs. Aegir, originally a daughter of House Gerth, was pressured into an arranged marriage with Duke Aegir. She and Duke Aegir were never big fans of each other, but she complied with the marriage in order to save the face of House Gerth.

- Once they got married? 

- No one could have expected the sheer hatred that would grow between them.

- Their marriage grew abusive, which became an open secret within House Aegir. She considered running away more times than she could count, only for Duke Aegir to butter her up with empty promises that he would change.

- The only time she believed him is when she got pregnant with Ferdinand. 

- Throughout the pregnancy, Duke Aegir calmed down, excited that he would have a guaranteed heir to his position.

- But once Ferdinand was born?

- Duke Aegir went back to his old ways, pretending that nothing happened.

- Mrs. Aegir tried to be the best mother she could be within the abuse. Unfortunately, by then, so much damage had already been done, and she could not deal with much more.

- When Ferdinand was 7, Mrs. Aegir had it. She devised an entire plan to give up her noble title and escape to a random Imperial village behind everyone’s back.

- She considered bringing Ferdinand with her; as much as she hated Duke Aegir, she wanted to make the best decision for her son.

- However, she was worried that she would not be able to properly raise and support him in the village. She knew that Duke Aegir would exhaust all of his resources to look for him, therefore endangering the village she was fleeing to.

- She wanted Ferdinand to have a stable life, and him staying with his father was the best way to achieve that. 

- It certainly didn’t help that Ferdinand constantly reminded her of Duke Aegir, though she did not blame Ferdinand for this.

- The night before she left, she was particularly hostile towards Ferdinand, telling him he was a nuisance and that she never wanted to see him or his father ever again. 

- Her heart stung as Ferdinand’s eyes flooded with tears, but she was convinced she was making the right decision. She believed that if she hurt Ferdinand badly enough, he would not be determined to look for her when he got older.

- Her plan succeeded, and because Duke Aegir already had a heir, he put little effort into trying to find her.

- Ferdinand cannot bear the pain of the last memory of his mother, so he cannot bring himself to talk about her, let alone try to find her.

- Part of his complex with nobility comes from the fact that, while he does not know what happened to his mother, he knows that wherever she is, she lives life as a commoner now.

Ferdinand loves sleeping with his forehead pressed against yours while holding your hands. He often finds himself fighting sleep so he can enjoy these sweet moments for longer. 

Felix always throws an arm around you to pull you against him protectively. He’s terrified of losing you, so if anyhting happens during the night, they’ll have to get through him first. 

Ashe is a cuddle bug so anything goes as long as you two are entangled together the whole night. He likes it when you borrow his pajamas because it means next time he wears them they will smell like you do. 

Sylvain wants to put his past behind him so you often have to reassure him that you’re his lover and he’s allowed to touch you. When you do give the green light, though, he’ll hold on to you and never let go.
