[Really, if the place could be compared to a settlement of any sort, it would either be being very kind to the place that the small alien finds themselves in, or particularly unkind to the clan in question.]

[Not that that point matters all that much, seeing as the two are, apparently, unalike.]

[What might matter just a tad more - at least in this moment - is the fact that the visitor has piqued the interest of the junkyard’s resident... uh, resident, whose presence is signaled by the faint sound of scraping and clattering metal, before his head peeks down from on top of a small mound next to the path to watch her.]

[How cute! The thing is even smaller than him! He’d half be tempted to hop down and pick it up or feel that fluffy collar if he didn’t think he’d lose something and make a fool of himself in the process; not to mention that being lifted out of the blue can be pretty irritating in his experience.]

[In the end, he opts to call out to her, as per usual - just a friendly little “hello,” or a “what are you looking for,” like he would normally give to guests.]

[He instead produces an entirely unintelligible, garbled, scratchy mess of noise that would likely scare off small creatures while he grins expectantly, completely oblivious to the fact that he didn’t exactly say what he meant to.]
