“That’s not what I asked, Karen.” Frank hangs outside the bathroom door like a guard dog, eyes flicking around their immediate environment every so often; door, window, roof, door, window, window, roof, window, door --- he has a headache from it all. Adding that to the weight of the ( not so mysterious ) mystery of Karen’s upset, Frank’s two steps from falling over the edge of a cliff of anxiety.
His eyes zero in on her when the door opens, though - she’s lying, he knows that the moment she opens her mouth. He knows her ticks by now, and besides, he can see how red her eyes are. “You okay?” He questions, careful to keep his tone neutral.

“What? Ira! What do you mean?” They might not be on the best of terms or see eye to eye about…well, most things, but when she see’s her clone-brother tending to a rather nasty looking laceration the scientist rushes forward. Her grip is gentle as she takes the alcohol swab from Ira’s hand and looks up at him with a kinder expression than she’d ever been able to show anyone associated with DYAD or Neolution, aside from Delphine.
“Are you hurt anywhere else?”
"I th-thought Charlotte accidentally let the cat out so I went to look and th-there was something- something in the woods. It was- it was human-sized. It started chasing me so I ran a-and I fell.” Ira’s voice shakes and he sniffles a few times, trying to stop himself from crying. Earlier the panic had taken hold of him and he had been on the verge of outright bawling in the middle of the woods. He glances down, hiding his wobbly bottom lip. So much for being in charge of the house while Susan was gone.
“Just my hands.” He lets her start to tend to gash on the side of his left arm and he reveals his palms, scraped and slightly bloodied from hitting the forest floor. “It w-was stupid of me. I shouldn’t ha-have gone out there.”

( OOC: I thinkVanya likes hugs theoretically more than sheactually likes them. Like everyone, she wants to be loved and craves for havingpeople showing her by gestures (such as hugs). However, when it comes to actually hugging someone, she doesn’t quite know what to do with herself.
Some would say she only lacks practice. I, on theother hand, think Vanya is one of these people who aren’t quite comfortable withpeople (in general).
Eventually,she might find herself with someone she doesn’t feel awkward hugging. It won’thappen, however, before a long period of getting to know this person, becomingcomfortable around them and learning to love them. )

Things don’t really happen to Diego. Diego makes things happen. And, the moment that sealed me putting this dumbass onto this blog in the first place was when he, with his arm in a fucking sling, decides that it’s a great idea to jump through the glass window in a door to break inside a building instead of just. Checking to see if the door was unlocked. That’s the funniest fucking thing to me.
📑 Favorite part of your muse’s backstory? (For Max Black, Black Sails )
I don’t necessarily know if this counts as backstory, because it’s part of her Season 1 journey, but like. Max is so resilient and will not back down, and I love that about her. I love that she knows how this world works, but she knows how to work inside it, and she gets herself into a better position by operating within the system. Max is just. So good.
