when it comes to the fem/masc scale, I think ihsahn is someone who can easily switch between these extreme points and look/feel equally natural in both of them, while samoth just exists in the space between. not strictly in the middle, in various points across the scale depending on circumstances but never too close to the extremes. like high contrast vs low contrast. samoth's essences, regardless of proportions, are always a uniform mixture, while ihsahn's are like oil and water: can be thrown together into one vessel, but will never integrate into each other in a way that would make them indistinguishable
