I see the three awesome requests in my inbox and I will be getting to them very soon! Hopefully today, but if not, we should be back to regularly scheduled posting by Wednesday.

I hope you all had a great time with Canon Rep Week! I had lots of fun making the icons for you guys and it was really cool to learn about some characters that I didn’t know about before this! ^_^

To celebrate the small but growing number of canonically queer characters in the Fire Emblem series, starting tomorrow and going until Sunday evening (EST), this blog will be featuring those characters with their canon identities.(Essentially, it’s gonna be a week of bi and pan flags. With luck there will be characters of more varied identities in the future, but in the meantime we can still acknowledge the rep that we do have!) All posts will be tagged #canon rep week.

The official celebration will end on Sunday and I will go back to posting regularly scheduled requests and whims, but regardless of whether we’re celebrating canon rep week or not, please let me know if there are any canonically queer characters that I miss!

I made a post featuring two characters, Niles and Laslow, with two different pride flags, gay and bi, respectively. I chose Niles and Laslow because they seem to be a decently popular ship. I’ve already had requests for bi Laslow, so I figured I might as well go with that; I just wanted to pick a different orientation for Niles so that I could try out a double character icon with two flags, since I’d never made one before. I did not intend to erase any canon representation of bi or pan characters - I simply didn’t realize there were any to erase.

The post in question has been edited and now includes only the bi flag for both characters.

As mentioned in previous posts, please let me know if there are any other canon LGBTQ characters in the Fire Emblem games (although, from my understanding, it seems like the only canon queer characters are vaguely within the bi/pan realm). I’m thinking that at some point I’ll do a week or so that’s a “Canon Rep Week” where I’ll post icons of those characters! (:
