Finn Wolfhard et Oakes Fegley dans “Le Chardonneret” de John Crowley - d'après le roman éponyme de Donna Tartt (2013) - octobre 2019.
Fegley’s Brewworks Bourbon Barrel Insidious Imperial Stout (Picked up at Capone’s in Norristown, PA). A 3 of 4. Also note the excellent [read: sarcasm] March snowstorm in the background. Smells quite strongly of bourbon and chocolate - the body is nicely thick and well-balanced. In the body, it’s not too boozy, not too sweet, and not too bitter. Not the most complex thing ever - the malt profile is nice and roasty and full of cocoa, and the bourbon barrel adds some vanilla and oak qualities. Great stuff - no complaints here - but it just doesn’t stand out from many other bourbon barrel stouts.
