i just found an injured pigeon on my way home, and my adulting powers failed me, because what the hell is proper procedure in such a case?
so i called the police and went 'uh. i found this pigeon, and i am very confused. please advise.'
and they gave me the number of the ... office for dealing with injured wild animals, and those people went 'yeah, sure, we'll send someone, but it might take roughly 90 minutes, just find a cardboard box, make some airholes in that, put the pigeon in there, and leave it alone'.
so now, i have a pigeon in a cardboard box in my room, and i feel rather properly like an adult for actually having dealt with this problem properly.
