Jim Wood has been working at Terral RiverService Inc. for 10 years, and is the Captain of the M.V. Marguerite L. Terral.
“I wanted to work there for the family atmosphere and the great equipment - the boats are well kept,” Jim said.
Jim has been on the M.V. Marguerite L. Terral for 8 years and has worked on many rivers, including the Mississippi, Ohio, Alabama, Atchafalaya, Tennessee, Cumberland and Red Rivers. Jim enjoys working on the Lower Mississippi, because it’s spacious.
As the Captain of the M.V. Marguerite L. Terral, Jim says his priorities are being sure product is moved quickly and safely, keeping the boat within budget, and to maintain a good crew.
Jim is stationed out of Terral’s Lettsworth office and spoke highly of their team.
“I appreciate the Lettsworth Office personnel,” Jim said. “When I walk in, its like family, and I love them like they’re family.”
Thank you Captain Jim Wood, for your dedication to #TeamTerral. We appreciate you! Â
Felicia Terrell got her start in the river transportation industry 15 years ago, working as an accountant for Kinder Morgan and later becoming a Fleet Scheduler. Â
Terral RiverService Inc. acquired Kinder Morgan’s river assets in December of 2017 and Felicia feels that the transition could not have gone more smoothly. Felicia’s favorite part of working for Terral is the people she works with.
“Terral really made me feel like a part of their family from day one,” Felicia said. “I have never really worked for a company who genuinely cares for you they way they do.”
Felicia’s main goal as a Fleet Scheduler is to ensure that the boats keep running on schedule, so as not to affect customers. She enjoys the daily variation that her job brings.
“It’s something I really enjoy, because it’s something different every day,” Felicia said.
Outside of work, Felicia enjoys spending time with her church family and leads a Sunday School class. Her faith is very important to her, and she is thankful to work for a company who shares her values.
“Terral is a God fearing company, and I truly believe that is one of the reasons they have succeeded in all their journeys so far,” Felicia said. “I can only hope and pray that I can continue on with them through the rest of their journeys.”
Thank you, Felicia! The Terral Team appreciates all you do!
