I am not a field agent. Joseph's grip was a little too tight on the World News microphone that hung by his side. I haven't been a field agent for years. And yet there he was, somewhere far to west for his taste. Something about making the anchors look more human, putting them in more natural, real world situations. Funny, really- he felt most natural in the city. That was his real world.
He sighed and turned away from the van and the assistant producer sent with him- the boy couldn't be a day over 22- and towards the subject of the interview. He could see why the network picked this particular county; the deputy sheriff was young and pretty, perfect for television. Joseph took a step towards her, holding out his hand.
"Hi, nice to meet you. Joseph Clemont, World News." He smiled his best smile. He was here for a fluff piece about the rise of women in law enforcement. From experience, however, officers were always suspicious of media, no matter the subject matter. "We're about fifteen minutes to air. How are you feeling?"
