Hiiii! Yes yes, same intro. Randomly at school I had an idea for a really cool book, and now I’m really trying to develop it. I’m just gonna give you guys just the basics of understanding the world. I think I’m gonna name the book Feather Craft, although it is up for change.
This book centers around the main character, Jade Anastasia Stone. She is one of the Airfolk and has many bird like features like wings. In this world witchcraft is possible, but it is shunned. Jade is a child in foster care. Bounced around in the system until she decides to just run away since no family will take her in permanently and her parents aren’t getting better. she runs into the woods and finds a gathering of witches. The witches, seeing this fierce little girl decided to test her, and this is how Jade realizes that she is capable of witchcraft. She is brought back to the nearby village where the witches are an underground revolution against the governor and men who want to burn them. She lives with Mother Woodward and her daughter, Faith Tera Woodward.
I’ll post updates if you guys really like this! I’ve made a Pinterest board to try and flesh out what the world will be like and I’ve already drawn Jade and Faith.
