Jacqui had tried to grab Jesse after they had done the body shot off of Gabe, looking up from his body to make eye contact with Jesse - just as G had wanted. He had brushed them off, disappearing into the crowd even as they approached him, leaving Jacqui to continue wondering what exactly they had gotten shoved into the middle of with that dare. When they saw Jesse and Courtney coming back inside, soaking wet and shivering - it was the end of October in New Hampshire, after all, and they appeared to have just gone swimming in the lake despite being at a perfectly good pool party, Jacqui grabbed two towels and slipped after them through the crowd, following them into the locker room. 

“Hey,” they said quietly, holding out the towels they had in hand to the boys. “Thought you guys might want these,” she said, eyes on Jesse the entire time. Court - for all he may occasionally appear it - wasn’t dumb, picking up on some sort of tension in the room and quickly exiting once he had grabbed the towel from her. The door shut behind him, the clang of it echoing slightly in the locker room, even with the muffled music pounding from the other side of the door. “What’s going on with you?” they asked, eyes roving over his face, his features that were somehow simultaneously comforting and completely unknown.
