Fear God, Not Men
Today’s red letter verse post contains a sobering message straight from the mouth of Jesus.
As Christians, we must not be ashamed of sharing the gospel, even if it means the severest form of persecution - physical death. For saved believers, death is nothing to fear; our last breath is immediately followed by being in the presence of our King. It’s the safest place we can possibly be. It’s the most glorious place we can be, filled with overwhelming joy and love, surrounded by unimaginable beauty. The ultimate fear should lie with the unrepentant, unbelievers who die in their sin and face eternal judgment spent in God’s absence. So many people are fooled by the illusion of time, and for some, there is no time. Those who leave repentance “for later” never see “later”. The most important time to bow in humility and repentance is while there’s still breath left in our lungs. Once we breathe our last, the opportunity is gone. Think about it. May the Lord bless you and keep you always! ✝️🤍🙏🏻
“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” - Matthew 10:27-31
