#fe18 stuff

so yesterday i was telling my pals that i've been a bit :/ that most of the non leader female characters we've seen so far all have interests like "taking care of others, cleaning, romance, men :)" and was glad at least lilian seemed to be breaking away from that as a money-grubbing merc, but ah, i spoke too soon. anyway i hope she doesn't even have a tragic backstory or family to take care of and just wants to be rich for the sake of it.

even though we kinda knew it was coming given their prominence on the box art, when they said eshmel was the "true protagonist" i did shout NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO irl. whatever. i'm glad we can play the four protagonists of my heart in parallel though! <-says the person who has still only completed verdant wind lol. lots of cool new characters and classes too, i can't wait to roadkill with a chariot and trample with an elephant. in classic fire emblem fashion, i am simultaneously annoyed and excited 😌

also hi i'm not dead, i've just been trying to be less online and it's been kinda nice to do more reading and actually playing video games instead of just talking about them (rn i'm almost done another awakening run lol) and my partner just moved in so we've been able to hang out more than once a week, so yayy. but fortune's weave!! it's got me very curious. definitely hope it's more of an RD or SoV situation where you play parts as different armies that converge rather than separate routes like fates or 3h.
