I broke down and ordered everything i’d need to run a one light setup with my strobe. Friday i was finally able to get down to my local crossfit box, Crossfit Jaguar, and get some product and modeling shots for my friend’s company, FCUT.

I was honestly super excited. I’d never shot with off camera lighting before, or really used models—even if they were people i knew and already had an established rapport with.
The entire thing was thrilling, and reminded me why i love photography as much as i do. It was awesome to just be creative, and invent every shot as it came to me, from setting up the lighting to posing and working with the models. Absolutely fantastic!
Due to using cheap Phottix triggers, i was having to run test shots to get the flash settings where i wanted them before actually making the models do work. Here Kim, the other co-creator of FCUT, stands in for me while i make the adjustments.
Larry, being a sport and repping out 225 a few times for me.
Lastly, i step out from behind the camera for a quasi-self portrait. (Kim ran the shutter for me! Thanks Kim!)
I’m so glad i was able to be apart of this!
