On Friday we had a floor party to celebrate CI Events moving up with us and what better theme than Halloween! There was pumpkin carving, face painting, Jell-O shots with eyeballs, beer pong, a Dj and all around great vibes. They also decorated the whole floor with bats hanging from the roof, ghosts on the windows, spider webs and creepie crawlies. I’m still getting to know everyone so they most definitely won’t be meeting Veronica any time soon and I can’t afford to loose my shoes either as that will be a very difficult bus ride plus it’s too cold to take your shoes off so looks like I may be turning over a new leaf 😂 I can also never really stay super late at work cause I’m not keen on public transport in the dark but hey I’ll get around to it soon I’m sure as I can’t keep ducking out at 7 lol.

The agency that does our data is based in Hove so today I caught the train down to spend the day with them to get a broader view of how it all fits together. Catching the train was a little intimidating as Hove is at the coast and takes 1h30 mins to 2 hours depending on everything being on time. So to start with I missed the first train 🙈 I seem to have a bad habit of forgetting something as I’m walking out the door and then running back - need to remember the train isn’t like a car and doesn’t wait for anyone! After re-working my route I was back on track but luckily i planned to get there early. There are such great transport apps and I don’t know how I would get around without them. My fave is City Planner which has combined the best of a few. The trip down was amazing with the last leg being over an hour long. I just love riding on the train. Would be such a great commute if it wasn’t so expensive ! The train is hellishly expensive. Especially when the bus has a hopper fare which lets you get on as many busses as you like in an hour for £1.60 it’s a deal. Didn’t see much of Hove but will definitely go down to those parts again with Brighton being super close.
