               “ Well, I might or I might not, ” the blond smirked, amused and also impressed by how quickly Ukitake had caught him in his game. “ I gotta say, m’plenty surprised that yer familiar with the media and movie culture in the human world. Yer a fan of western flicks or somethin’? ”

“Still don’t make sense, does it?! There’s lots’a fruit that cluster together! WHY only them got the name for grapefruit?”

—[ 氷の女王]— “I can do the tea to your taste, taichou.” Expressed with a cheerful tone. “I think we have Matcha, Sencha and jasmine tea.” Rukia drinks tea proactively, so is used to prepare it and thought it would be nice share one with Ukitake.  

“You are an unusually pretty person.  .  .” She took her chin between her fingers, narrowed her eyes, then grunted. “I don’t trust you.”

Rukia had found that there were little things to make the squad feel less haunted of past memories, not just for herself alone, but the squad as a whole. And one of those ‘little things’ was a little reorganization of the lieutenant office. The dust upon the covers of the books were a tell tale sign of how urgently this was needed. Quickly wanting to get the task done, she grabs a rather large pile of books, stacking from the top of her hip until they came to her chin. It was in this crucial moment that her name was called from the hall, pulling her focus enough to make her lose her place on the chair she had used to get some extra reach. With a small yell and a couple of thuds of book spines she comes hurtling down. Even still, she tries to answer the call, reassuring loudly amongst the filter of books upon her after a few coughs and sneezes. “I’m over here! Er, don’t worry, I’m fine!--”  Perking a head out of the rubble of her mistake and her voice becomes clearer. “I was just--” Now that she can see the mess that she has created, it feels almost shameful to finish what her intentions were, as clearly she has made more of a mess of the place than it had been to start with. Nonetheless, it feels weird to drop it, so she finishes them, but the energy in her voice has been pulled out of her. “...trying to clean up a bit is all.”  

When he said that she could be more specific, Rukia felt ashamed. She might be really clumsy or bothering him, or just ask something that she should have not questioned. “Etto…. you can talk to me about whatever you want, Taichou. I just want to know more about you.”
