He was always one to dwell on things, even silly jokes and statements like what Loralei had said. He chewed on his bottom lip as his eyes wandered around the room. He was lost deep in the depths of his thoughts, picturing a scenario where someone would get off on a crime just simply by being cute, he was sure it had happened before.

Intrusive snapping pulled him from his thoughts and left him squinting at Loralei who gave him an odd look.

His friendship with Samuel was perfect— it was simple, just like Iseul needed it. He always found it easy to talk to Samuel, his presence was calming and felt like home to Iseul. This meant something much deeper to him, seeing as he had no memory of a home and had been searching for that feeling for the longest time.

Nothing is off limits with Samuel, there is no judgment, only acceptance and and similarities that kept the two close. Over time, Iseul has developed a strive to protect his best friend seeing as so many people have hurt him in the past and now with this silly ‘team Aris’ thing going about in the halls, Iseul would put himself in front of anything to keep his best friend safe.

So now he was standing here, banging on one of the door’s to the girl’s dorm rooms, hoping Arielle was in there and willing to help him. There were only a few people he trusted with his precious ears after all.

Oh responsibilities of being the co-captain team of dancers. Mostly consisting of meetings with the captain to go over details of the team routine and technical stuff. The meetings could be somewhat boring at times but at least the captain was enjoyable to be around, in her opinion. But even that couldn’t get her out of the funk she was in today.

She stood in front of the door of the practice area she mental told stop acting upset. So what if you woke up to dreaming of her parents again. So what if your homesick again. Get over it Starlight. Shaking her head and taking a deep breathe she entered the room. Seeing Loralei already there she fixed a fake smile on her face.

“Hey there cap. So we have to go over the routine today right?”

The smile remained on her face but her tone was anything but happy. As hard as she tried Star just couldn’t get the images of home out her head. And usually she would be able to hide what she felt. But today she was just tired of it. Then again she can’t be tired of it. It was who she was and changing it now wouldn’t solve anything. So she tried to brighten her tone as much as possible.

“So I was thinking the chorus part seemed to make our team a little too-”

Star stopped. The witch just can’t do this today. No matter how much she tried to bury everything it just wouldn’t go away. She couldn’t focus on her job and that wouldn’t be fair to the team if she just half-assed them like this.
