"That was a great crowd today, huh, S--am?" It's taken Phone Guy longer to adapt to the Safety Officer's new name than it's taken most of the others; character names are typically pre-set variables, and every so often his systems will disagree with him about his updated files and flag his insistence on calling his Sam by his proper name as an "error" to be looked into.
This isn't the only area in which Phone Guy sometimes lags behind his fellow animatronics. He mostly understands the events that have unfolded, and has felt the shift in the very air of the pizzeria from before the spirits left to now. But everyone else has had intensely personal dealings with the ghosts. Phone Guy's the only one of his fellow 'bots (to his knowledge) who has never been intertwined with one of the specters, and although he's outwardly interacted with them, his inner programming has never quite caught up to the full awakening experienced by the rest of the cast.
"They loved you!" Phone Guy clasps his hands together in delight, his receiver bouncing with a single, merry ring. Sentient or no, the animatronics still reside within the bounds of the pizzeria, and they still have tasks set out for them. Sam's safety segments are by far Phone Guy's favorite, because it's one of the few times that the information 'bot gets to assist the other characters, as opposed to free-roaming alone in search of patrons who might need assistance. He loves working with humans, of course, but sometimes when he watches the band, he almost wishes he were one of them.
"I have [S_O_Script_013] queued for tomorrow. Does that sound good?"
