The Gone series is like: fun relationship activities:
Sawing your friend's arm off
Murder
Cannibalism
Since I've gotten into the Webtoon Sweet Home, and it has lately become my new fixation upon which I will think of nothing but this for the next few days, my mind has been filled with aus of my favorite characters in this exact situation. During this speedrun through my imagination, I stumbled upon the idea of the characters from Gone, and the irony honestly makes me laugh.
To clear things up for those who have not either read the Webtoon comic or watched the Netflix series inspired from the comic, Sweet Home is about a troubled teen preparing to commit suicide after his family dies only to find himself in the middle of the apocalypse where everyone starts catching this disease that turns them into literal monsters. It happens at complete random, not from a bite or a scratch, not like zombies but instead like catching a cold except it's not spread from the infected, the disease just seems to randomly choose you. The only indication someone is of the infected before monsterization happens is nosebleeds because that means the process has already begun. So in this world, your options are either death, monsterization, or survival, and that's depending on if you manage not to not to get killed by these things that can and will kill you in gruesome ways. Not all these monsters want to kill other people, but a lot do. So our mc ends up banding together with the neighbors in his apartment building to protect themselves and each other while at the same time not knowing if and when any of them will end up infected. Only problem is the mc is already showing symptoms even as he fights it. It centers on character dynamics, arcs, relationships, and what it means to retain your humanity in a world full of monsters.
So, anyway, I was thinking about the characters from gone in this scenario, and I'm honestly laughing thinking how done they'd be to finally be free from the FAYZ only to end up smack in the middle of the end of the world. Do I think they'd survive, hell yeah. Do I think they'd also be pretty pissed that just when they think they've gotten a break, they walked from one hellish situation right into another? Also yeah, but they've got monsters to take that anger out on.
For some reason, I can just imagine Sam Temple postcoming home from an AA meeting having finally gotten his life back together and started working on his PTSD and getting back out in the world again only to wake up next morning to find out there was an outbreak of people turning into unkillable monsters that want to kill whoever's left.
And just going, "Nope."
Of course eventually he goes out to help other people because as much as he hates this, he can't just stand by and do nothing while waiting to die
Who am I?
I am Dekka Talent. If any of you have been in the Gone universe lately, you might have seen a photo of me floating around. This is because, well, I accidentally started a trend. Let me tell you the story.
So, on November 2nd, 2019 I was supposed to go on a date. However, I had some weird kind of allergies/ respiratory issues going on. So, I canceled the date and scheduled a ride to a clinic. So, while I was getting ready and probably struggling to breathe, my mind was full of excitement with the prospect of Gone TV.
So, I got the message on my phone that my Lyft was three minutes away. I rushed to the waiting spot and waited for about two mintues. Getting safely into the pickup truck, I was safely underway. In the backseat, my mind began to wander. How could bring my creativity and confidence into the Gone fandom? I'd been into the law of attraction lately so I knew that stating my claim would be the best way to get what I wanted.
So, while I was sitting in the sunny clinic office, I scrolled through my pictures and found one that had Dekka Talent energy all the way. Since I had about a forty minute wait time, I had all the time in the world. I went to Twitter (I only had one account at the time) and posted the picture with the caption "I am Dekka Talent".
So, about two hours later, I left the clinic. Apparently it was only allergies. I hadn't really looked at my phone since posting the picture. After getting Wendy's from a campus spot, I began to feel really nervous about my post. What if someone thought my tweet was a lie? Like I was claiming that I was already Dekka on the TV show? What if Engage or MG wanted me to take it down so I wouldn't confuse people? At the time I posted the photo, I just really wanted to show myself as having the potential to be Dekka Talent. I never considered that my post could be taken a different way.
However, all was well! MG retweed my photo, like a stamp of approval! I didn't know how special that was at the time. Left and right, I started getting mentions as people became inspired by my tweet. This started a boom in the Gone fandom as we fought to show that we could be in the TV show. 》Overall, I never intended to start the trend but I'm glad that I did. Recognition from MG and approval from Engage has been the push I needed to start working on myself seriously. I have big goals for the Gone fandom and I'm glad that I could be part of it. ♡

Tbh I’m still low key mad at Michael Grant for giving Breeze the same last name as Rachel from Animorphs and then brutally killing them both.
Then we fall, you and me, Dekka. If I have to go, it'll be an honour to be with you.

I’m not dead
Hey guys! I know I have been quite inactive lately. I do reblog and like stuff from time to time and I still really like to support fan art so don’t worry, I’m still here!Â
I wanted to wish you all a happy 2017, hopefully this year will bring you some good memories to share, some good books to read and some awesome music to hear.Â
If you want to know what I’m up too, I still run my main blog called thedeathlyberries. It’s very much a band account I would say (twenty one pilots, Panic! at the Disco, ...) mixed with the regular memes, vines and cat photos (lol). But I also reblog stuff from tv-shows like The 100 (!), Shadowhunters and Game of Thrones and book edits from for example The Infernal Devices. So if you’re into that by coincidence, give me a little follow.
I really like to get asks or to chat too and as I kind of miss this little community, don’t ever hesitate to send me something :)
Love you guys! x Josie
