11. Your character walking in on mine waiting in bed for them.
Andrew had always thought about it in the back of his mind. He hadn’t remembered that night, but he remembered waking up next to Faye. They’d wandered away from a party and he had always told himself nothing had happened, but he couldn’t lie to himself. He could get away from the knowledge that he didn’t know.
He sat on Faye’s bed, elbows resting on his knees and hands clasped together. Every bone in his body told him to ignore it and just walk away--never bring it up again--but his moral compass told him that he couldn’t keep acting like it never happened.
As soon as the door opened, Andrew’s head shot up to see who had walked in. As soon as he saw Faye, he stood up.
“Rapunzel?” He smirked at the nickname and shook his head. “What are you doing in my room?”
“Something tells me I’m never going to get rid of that nickname.” Letting his had scratch the back of his neck, he tried to find a way to bring up what he wanted to talk about.
“Spit it out.” Andrew watched her for a moment, followed her movement as she closed the door and set her things down.
“We need to actually talk about what happened when we left the party.” His hand dropped back to his side as he tried to read her expression. Faye raised an eyebrow, but didn’t speak, making it increasingly harder to want to stay and continue the conversation.
“What about it?”Â
The indifference in her voice aggravated him, but he shook his head, groaning. “This isn’t bothering you in the slightest?”
“There’s nothing to be bothered about.” He watched her shrug, then move to the door, opening it back up. “Believe me, you’d know.”
Andrew watched her in silence, wondering how she could be so sure. After a moment, he picked up his bag and walked out the door.

12. Your character walking in on mine singing at the top of their lungs
Atalia didn’t often let herself be completely loose, not even in private. There was always tension and anger and distracting thoughts, but she’d had a little too much to drink and her favorite Vibes Twins’ song was on the radio.
A quick glance down the hallway showed that no one was home, so she closed her door and cranked the music up, allowing herself to sing every word at the top of her lungs.
She felt the anger and tension she was holding on to ebb away as she danced around her room, laughing and finally feeling free.
“I’ll come back another time.” The voice had to yell above the music, but it still startled her. She quickly turned around and returned the music back to an acceptable volume.
“Faye. I wasn’t expecting anyone.”
“Yeah, that much is true.” Faye’s eyes traveled around the room and Atalia could feel the tension accumulating in her shoulders again. She was friends with Faye, had even amused the thought of mentoring her among the Death Eaters, but a lot had changed over the past couple months.
“You could stand there and stare at me,” she said, breathing heavy after all the dancing. “Or. You could forget about whatever your here to bother me about and just dance for a minute or two.”
It was a crazy suggestion, something neither of them had ever said to each other. Atalia stared at the younger girl before reaching over and turning the music back up. She let herself be a little reckless, starting to dance as she stared Faye down.
“Fine,” she heard her say. “But no one hears of this.”

22. Your character walking in on mine crying
She felt stupid for crying. It’s not like she had been expecting a different answer, given that the school year had been cut short and Hogwarts was closed indefinitely but the letter in her hands hurt more than Rose had prepared herself for. The Harpy’s had decided to pass on an invitation for the seventeen year-old to join them at practices given that they hardly got to see her play during her first year as Captain. Plus their minimum age requirement was eighteen- to ensure that school aged players wouldn’t skip their final year of school -so she’d have to wait until next season anyway. She had known it was going to be a long shot and that the answer was probably going to be no but it still hurt to be rejected- even as politely as they had.
She sniffed and brushed a few tears away before reaching for the mug of tea that now sat cold in front of her. She mechanically brought the cold tea to her lips and took a long drink before grimacing at the too cold tea. Reaching into her bag Rose rooted around for her wand before her hand brushed against something cold and metallic. Before she’d even pulled the watch out of her purse she’d already started crying again. Could this never ending summer get any worse? She lost her not-boyfriend, she came very close to losing both of her best friends, and now she’d lost the only other thing she’d loved- Quidditch. When did everything become so difficult?
As she fought back a sob Rose heard someone slide into the booth across from her before seeing a glass being set in front of her. “You’re starting to scare the other patrons away.”
Rose looked up to see Faye sitting across from her, a glass of firewhiskey in her hand. Sniffing, Rose halfheartedly wiped her tears as she looked at her friend. “It’s not like I planned to come to the Cauldron and cry by myself in a booth.” Rose responded as Faye took a drink from her glass.
“It may not have been your intention but it’s what you’re doing. Now stop crying. Whatever it is probably isn’t worth it.” Faye said pushing the second glass of firewhiskey closer to Rose. “Drink up. We’ll go to another bar that you haven’t cried in lately.”
Rose couldn’t help but to smile at Faye before trading Noah’s watch for the glass of firewhiskey. “Aren’t you going to ask why I’m sitting alone in a bar crying?” She teased already feeling better. Faye glanced at the watch on the table before leaning across to pick it up.
“No. I don’t really care... though I’d guess it’d have something to do with this stupid thing.” She rolled her eyes and held up her glass as if in toast. “Now, finish your drink with me so we can get out of here.”
Rose picked up her glass and lightly tapped it against Faye’s before proceeding to chug the glass down. Faye was right. No more tears. Rose was stronger and better than crying alone in bars. Putting the empty glass down Rose smiled at her friend. “Let me go fix my face and we can go.”
