            It’s a lovely day, the sun is out, the breeze is warm... It’s a  SHAME  for one of Helena’s favorite patients to be cooped up on a day like this. So, Helena makes her way to Abigail’s room, greeting the young woman with a smile as she enters after knocking three times on the door.     ❛❛  Good morning, Abigail.  ❜❜     The nurse says softly, walking over to open the curtains to let some light in.     ❛❛  I was thinking, you and I would go on a little walk, it’s such a nice day.  ❜❜     

     “I know it’s nothing compared the Hannibal’s extravagance,” Begins Will before sheepishly revealing a small cake from behind him. The frosting is plain, only decorated with messy attempts to illustrate ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABIGAIL.’ The reality was, a child could have done better than Will. But he did try his best.      “But I wanted to do something.” He flashed a self-conscious smile before working to light the candles. “I hope it at least tastes good.” Was added in a mutter before his gaze falls upon her once more, another smile following. “Happy birthday, Abigail. Make a wish.”

A chuckle is given in response, albeit dry. “My, er, active imagination, fascinates him.” Will replies, but is quick to shift the topic of conversation. “How are you doing, Abigail?” The question was posed with sincerity, embedded with the love only a father could gift. “They said you ran away. Scaled the wall and everything.” A short pause. “. . . Do you wanna talk about it?”

Will glanced down at her, his hand moving to her upper arm and his lips curling into a slight smile. He’d been so used to his dogs, and frankly, it was a surprisingly pleasant change for another person to so comfortably sit like this. There was a beat, just a short moment for him to think before he replied. “It’s not that weird, animals make weapons out of their surroundings all the time. I think it depends on whether you’re defending yourself or provoking someone else.”

          “ do you feel forsaken, abigail? ”
