• Paterson falls in love with a publisher of poems in the local paper. Love, war, heartbreak, misery. The poet's work covers all manner of subjects and each captures Paterson's attention with such raptness that he must know the poet's identity. He begins writing letters to the editor, asking for the contact details of the poet, asking for his own address be passed on to him/her. One Thursday morning, Paterson receives a letter from the person claiming to be the poet. His name is Alan, nicknamed Blue, and he's an author who lives in the countryside. Paterson writes back. Blue never fails to reply. Over time, their connection becomes deeper than the paper and ink that their love is written on.

• Father Garupe has succumbed to sin. Despite swearing his mind, body and soul to his church but local aristocrat, Konstantin Levin, has stolen his heart. He dwells unwanted at the front of Garupe's mind when he kneels before the church's alter, beads wrapped around his fingers, thinking of what Levin's rough hands would feel like against his skin.
Deciding to use a charitable act to try to silence his thoughts, Garupe goes out to work in the wheat fields, hoping the manual labour will rid him of his impure thoughts. But his God, it would seem, tempts him. Accidentally, Garupe has become one of Levin's workers, cutting down crops beside the very man that haunts his most pleasurable dreams. Levin tells Garupe to call him 'Kostya', his nickname, and that he recognises him from the local church. Garupe can hardly talk. Beneath the warm evening sun, Kostya seems to glow like a deity, illuminated and pure.
Garupe wonders, is this sin? Or is this his life's path?

• Techie is a reclusive First Order programmer. His twin brother, General Armitage Hux, is his only friend but even he can't spare enough of his time to keep Techie company. But Techie finds sunshine on the grey & dull Star Destroyer in the form of an angry, lonely radar technician named Matt. Together, they bring the love and laughter that was so desperately missing from both of their lives in the form of soft affection, caring company and thoughtful gifts. Techie didn't think he would ever be so lucky to find someone who cares for him as much as Matt does. Matt, albeit secretly, thinks the same about Techie.
