I had never liked the way people said my name. They always mispronounced it. But when you said it, oh god the way you said my name, it sounded perfect, so intimate. You made me fall in love with my name. After you left, I told myself I wouldn’t let anybody else call me by my name. Because they could never say it right, they’ll never say it the way you did.
