The bright orb that was the sun slowly moved in towards the horizon. As it neared, a myriad of colors painted the sky, dancing with the clouds. The sun inched closer to the Earth's horizon, building up the anticipation. Finally, they met with a gentle kiss. The sun pressed into the horizon, loving the gentle touch and craving more. The horizon accepted the sun's advances, pulling it in for more contact between them. The horizon slowly enveloped the sun, and more colors erupted into the sky to celebrate their love. The horizon grew greedy, however, taking in more and more of the sun. The magnificent light began to fade away. The sky began to grow darker. Still, the sun pressed on, desperate to be one with the horizon. In the end, the sun was enveloped completely. Nothing but darkness was left.
The ball of fire in the sky began to drop towards the Earth. It moved in at a crawling pace, as if time was slowed. The flame of the orb caused the sky to burn, charring the once blue sky into different reds and oranges. The sun plummeted towards the horizon at an agonizingly slow pace, building the tension. Once it touched, no explosion happened. No bang sounded. The horizon just ate up the threat, slowly consuming it. There was no dramatic finish. The giant ball of flame was peacefully consumed. The sky was left black.
