Aaravos stood, invisible against the shadows, as he observed his new ally being drawn away by the very men heâd commanded. Were it not for Aaravosâ unfortunate circumstances, he may even have found it amusing. But he knew how this would play out. He knew what would happen to Viren, and what would happen to himself if he didnât convince one of these weak-minded beings to assist him in relocating the mirror.
So he remained silent, allowing them to believe the mirror showed nothing. One by one, guards filed in and out of the dungeon, each taking an item with them as they left. He observed each, weighing each in their ability and gullibility. One in particular caught his eyes; a boy with raven hair and a sweet face.
   Perfect.
He waited patiently until right moment when the boy neared the mirror. Gently, so as not to alert the others in the various chambers within the dungeon, Aaravos tapped upon the glass. He waited a moment, a wicked smirk hidden within the pitch black darkness, before tapping once more. What fun it was to watch the expressions on humansâ faces when they were surprised or confused-- or scared.
He allowed another short moment to pass before leaning forward slightly, revealing only his face as his dark hood shrouded his figure against the darkness that enveloped him.
âAssist me,â he mouthed, though his face conveyed no trace of fear nor helplessness.
