dabi wasn’t one to try and socialize- he avoided it in most every case, half because of his own disposition (cantankerous, cranky, and downright ugly), and half because of his own appearance (burnt, craggy, and almost as ugly as his personality). he hadn’t talked much to anyone who wasn’t in his immediate circle back home, preferring to be by himself in almost every case.

where he was crouched in the soft snow, a single azure flame danced along his palm, moving and flickering as if was alive, down to his fingertips where it pooled and collected like liquid. despite the amazing dexterity dabi showed in controlling the small amount, he was obviously frustrated with how little flame he could produce, and was focusing solely on the fire- not expecting, nor realizing, really, that anyone would be watching.

Call it tradition, old habits, or whatever else, but Astorel didn’t feel right just sitting around to enjoy the festivities. Taking a break at any other time would have been a blessing from Ayja’s fortunes themselves had she not had a whirlwind of questions storming her mind, so she was left at a strange compromise where she had nothing to do and yet everything to fret about. In order to alleviate some of her worries, she decided to help out with part of the hot pot, although even that proved troublesome.

She knew the old Cortean recipe off by heart, but the ingredients being just out of reach was why she had levitation magic, for the Gods’s sakes! If her time innkeeping had taught her anything, though, it was that there was always an adventurer waiting for some ‘quest’ to undertake, no matter how mundane.

          {♠} —; Mornings in the village were just as busy during the day then, huh? The enchantress was hoping to have a bit of a quiet walk, but was instead met with cheerful dancing, and jovial singing. My, how the people sure were energetic. It reminded her of how Marla would march to her own beat a long time ago. Perhaps today she’d take a page out of her book.

          {♠} —; She’d walk towards the area, taking in the mood and turning her charm on. As she approached, she linked arms with one of the people watching the others dance—another girl it seemed. Taking her hand she’d guide her along, simply offering few words as she lead the dance.

It had been a while since he’d been able to do something like this, and now with a free mind he found himself enjoying the food even more. Though he seemed a bit...over dressed wearing a suit to a  Tavern it was probably better of an idea than wearing his full armor. either way he was sticking out like a sore thumb. Even after his death he found a solace in food, wither it was reviewing it or just simply eating it. The table was lined with all kinds of different foods even somethings that you’d never think a tavern would have, like a few pieces of cake. He had notice someone staring but not at him but at the warm food that sat on the table.
