šš for Phaedra + Gab? ā¤š
Okay, these were just the characters I needed asks about and I owe you my life. I rarely have cause to talk about my Tyranny ocs, so blessed. And Iām big time swinging back into a Dragon Age kick so Iām feelinā that.Ā
š Phaedra used to have very long hair, so long it was a hindrance. She would braid it so itād be out of the way but it often wasnāt enough.Ā Tangent time but the long hair will come back into play in a bit, I promise.Ā
She was absolutely lousy at the combat portion of her fatebinder training. She was petite and physically weak, she could barely lift many of the weapons she tried to learn. Knowing that failing this part of her training would absolutely get her killed, she learned magic wherever she could pick it up, mostly in secret by eavesdropping on those with magic training.Ā
When she was chosen to do Bleden Markās infamous murder fun time survival training, her colleagues assumed it was a way to weed her out. I mean, there was no way she could survive, right? She was a spoiled rich kid and abysmal at combat! Sheād be fodder for the other trainees!Ā
Underestimating Phaedra is a bad idea. And no one sneaks around Tunonās Court without Bleden Mark knowing about it, he absolutely knew he was throwing a wild card into the mix for the other kiddos. Phaedra lived up to the expectation. But it wasnāt a sure thing and she nearly lost it all when another student caught her by the hair and tried to slit her throat. Quick thinking and slicing her own hair off saved her life.Ā
To this day, Phaedra keeps her hair in a short bob, to avoid the same mistake and as a reminder of what sheās had to go through to get where she is.
š Gab Hawke is the Hero of Ferelden's cousin. Gab met Ivette Amell briefly as a child. Due to the age difference and the short time together, they didn't have much to bond over. The gulf of time hasn't stopped Gab from bragging or acting like they're close. She's quite proud of her cousin and can be unabashed in idolizing her. Although, actually following Ivette's example is another matter.Ā
Despite Gab's boasting, her sister Bethany is the one who actually reconnects with their cousin. Ivette helps Bethany fit into the Grey Wardens and the two have worked together on a few occasions. When given the opportunity, Gab declined a reunion. Gab subscribes to the advice of "never meet your heroes". Part of her doesn't think she can live up to Ivette's standards. Ā Another part of her wants the bond with their cousin, a hero fit for legend, to be something that belongs solely to Bethany. Ā
